Since debuting in 2019, BINA has proved herself a force to be reckoned with. Her transfixing voice has built her loyal fan base which is continuing to grow with each project. And they certainly turned out for her headline show last night.

Having just released her latest project ‘Chaos Is Her Name’, the atmosphere was electric as fans waited to hear these new songs for the first time live. As St Pancras Old Church began to fill up, it was clear that BINA’s high trajectory is just beginning. The EP showcases BINA’s growth both as an artist and as a person over the past 3 years, with songs like Dopamine and Bossy being crowd favourites. Her unique musical palette is evident within this EP, as she blends diverse influences to create an immersive listening experience as she traverses an array of glitchy, haunting, soul-stirring and heartwarming sounds.

Before BINA and her band took to the stage, Olympia Vitalis filled the church with her stunningly melodic vocals. Accompanied by her keys player, the stripped back set and divine setting really complimented her unique sound.

After a quick break, people took to their seats, BINA’s band entered the stage in shirts and ties and the lights dimmed. As a voice arose from the back of the church, the crowd turned to see BINA serenading us from high in the churches cloisters. Leaving us with only a few notes, she disappeared to then renter, elegantly marching down the aisle in a sea of shirt-inspired garments. Soon we were “officially welcomed to the House of Chaos”.

Playing with her band for just over an hour, BINA took us on a journey. From “soft-raging” to getting “deeper into our feels,” this night felt more like an artistic showcase than anything else. We got to experience several of BINA’s oldest tracks interspersed with her brand new work which plays on the contemporary while experimenting with different noises and emotions.

The night was also laced with special guests, stories of BINA’s life, and a stunning outfit change. Guest artists Essence Martins, 9DAYS and Lex Amor all joined BINA on stage throughout the show to warmly accentuate the her latest tracks. And before we headed into the final trail of songs, BINA left us with her incredible band who jammed away whilst she got changed into another stunning shirt piece – yes a shirt and a skirt made of shirts. Her eccentric sound and unique view on the world matched with the ethereal venue made for an amazing evening, and we’re excited to see BINA grow into the powerhouse that she is proving to be.
